JOEY is a 21 pound, 8 1/2 year old, sable merle, neutered male. He came into rescue after his previous owner died. Because his owner was elderly and not in the best of health Joey did not get a lot of attention for the last few years. This has caused him to be very shy and a little leery of people. It took him a week to start to warm up to his foster mom and settle into his foster home. Joey gets along well with other dogs and cats. He is crate trained and housebroken with close supervision and a consistent routine. He used to spend a lot of time outside so he forgot some of his housebreaking skills, but he is getting better. He was never taught to walk on a leash but we are working on it. Because he would not do well on walks he needs a home with fenced yard. Joey is looking for a very patient adult only home with new owners who will allow him plenty of time to adjust to a new living situation. |
