Back to Available Shelties

UPDATE 9/1/2010: From Splatz' foster Mom " Splatz is looking GOOD!!!  He is only 25 pounds.  We've still got about 6-7 more to go, but he's doing great!  He is such a love!  He follows me everywhere!  He absolutely goes crazy when I pull out the leash for a walk.  He's even making it up/down the stairs!" You can see a big difference between the picture on the left taken near the end of June and the picture on the right taken this week. He looks so much better after losing weight and growing back some of his hair. Now he just needs to find a home of his own.

SPLATZ is a sable and white, 9 year old, neutered male Sheltie. Splatz came to rescue after his owner passed away. Splatz's previous owner was ill for a couple of years and not able to properly care for him, because of this he is very overweight and his coat was in bad shape. Before coming to rescue friends of his owner took Splatz to a goomer who said his coat was so bad it had to be shaved.

Splatz is a very sweet, velcro dog. It took him a few days to decide to start following his foster mom around but now he is never far away. As you can see in his picture Splatz needs to be on a serious diet. He currently weighs 35 pounds and should only weigh about 20 pounds.

Splatz is very well mannered, likes men and women, and is good with other dogs and cats. He is house broken and a very easy dog to live with. If you are looking for a dog who will adore you please consider Splatz.
