Trynidee (Trinity) and Echo are a very loving, outgoing, bonded pair of girls. Trynidee (left) is a 10 year old, mahogany sable, 21 pound spayed female Sheltie. Echo is an 8 year old, sable 17 pound, spayed female, Sheltie mix. We are not sure what Echo is mixed with but we are guessing Corgi. These girls came to us after their owners advertised to give them away on Freecycle because they were moving. We don't understand how anyone can live with such loving, attentive dogs for so many years and then treat them like an old couch when they wanted to move. Trynidee had a mole on her right eyelid that had been allowed to grow to the point of rubbing on her cornea. When we cleaned her teeth we had that removed. Her blood work all looked good and she did not lose any teeth during her dental. Echo also had her teeth cleaned and she lost 2 teeth because they were broken and the pulp was exposed. Echo's blood work also looked good. These girls are very bonded and Trynidee howls mournfully when Echo is taken away from her. Trynidee also howls when she is seperated from her person. It is not loud howling, but it is heart breaking. Echo will steal Trynidee's food so they need to be fed seperately, otherwise they are always together. Despite their age these girls have plenty of energy and are always ready for a new adventure with their person, and they have never met a stranger. They get along well with other dogs. They are pretty interested in cats, but not in an aggressive way. We do think they would like to chase a cat that runs, but if a cat doesn't run from them they quickly lose interest. They are house broken and crate trained. Because these two are so affectionate and attentive to their owner Trynidee and Echo are hoping to find a new home with someone who is home most of the time to give them lots of attention. Don't let their ages discourage you from adopting them, they have many years, and lots of love left to give. |
