About our costs

Some of the dogs we receive have been seriously neglected and/or mistreated. Several have needed extensive surgery to save their lives and restore them to good health.

Each Sheltie we place has been spayed or neutered. Not all of them come to us that way, however. Approximately 70% of them require this surgery when they arrive at rescue. About half of our Shelties need dental work as well, and we always make sure that they receive such care before they are placed. Others need medication to regain and maintain their health.
